HI Jodi:
Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words. I agree, it was wild for me to hear the extent to which the one instructor took metaphor in her life – listening for the metaphors in her car. Hm. My tires were uniformly low yesterday, guess I need to think about that. Foundation? Wind in my sails? Hm. I’m sure you and your teens will have fun with it.
Happy Almost Thanksgiving Jodi!
Amy
Hi Josephine:
Thank YOU so much for reading and commenting, Josephine! It’s amazing how many folks I seem to connect with online from Australia. It sounds like you too must be doing some amazing work. I’m curious what population you work with and the nature of your practice? I’d love to hear.
Thanks so much for your kind reply.
Amy
Hi Marilyn:
Welcome to Maricle Counseling’s blog. I’m so pleased to have you here, and thank you kindly for taking the time to read and comment. Given how inspired I was at the conference, I’m so glad that I could bring a small piece of that to you. How do you find metaphor operating in your work?
Cheers,
Amy
HI Fran!
How lovely to have you here! Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words. It would be great to connect up and go from being “internet humans” (as one of my favorite online people likes to say) to being real humans. 🙂
I sent a message to Rachel Brandoff, who is a wonderful art therapist and co-organizer of the summit with Barry Cohen with your question about CDs or DVDs. I will let you know what I find out. While it isn’t the same as being there, I would bet that there would indeed be some very worthwhile talks.
This is my second year going, and both years I have been so impressed with how much folks have to share of value. I did a phototherapy, art therapy myth and metaphor, a drama therapy, and a dance therapy workshop and they were all stellar. I am using so much from them already.
In regards to where to stay, I am afraid I am not much help as I stayed with family in NJ.
I will let you know what I find out in regards to cd’s.
Thanks again for dropping by!
Amy
