Oh Suzanne – I love how you illustrate how this will translate for you, because I know it will speak to others! Thank you. Yes, and I think when we build up a “visual vocabulary” it gets easier to just put pen to paper in one way or another (giving yourself permission to just warm up helps here) but delving into your curiosities is an amazing creative practice, and one that really feeds our work.
Thanks so much for showing up here today Suzanne! XO Amy
]]>This is exactly what I needed to hear today. Since I wanted to do art journaling, I wanted to be spontaneous… but couldn’t come up right away with an idea and a page already constructed in my head. No wonder I was not able. It takes preparation!
If I tell you that I didn’t start yet? But now I understand why. When I want to write an article, I read a lot on a subject. I should do the same with art and add several sketches and ideas. Otherwise, I am not able to think about it in my mind, not even being able of “seeing” in my head.
Oh good! XO Likewise!
]]>Joanne – I LOVE looking at your instagram, @floweringmoonart because there’s so much amazingness to see. Like today’s gorgeous, firey FLuid Art piece. I LOVE what you’ve done with the techniques I and other teachers have offered and all you find on your own! So glad this post speaks to you too. XO
XO Amy
